Magdalene’s Coffee Shop in Taunton Minster has today (11 April 2024) been been inspected by the Food Standards Agency and issued with a shiny new 5 Star Rating. Well done, Sandra and the whole volunteer team!
The Coffee Shop continues to thrive and grow and having a renewed 5* Rating is great news. This assures everyone that, along with great food and drink, we are managing the whole operation well, especially maintaining the servery facility and handling the complexities of food management and compliance.
Since the re-development of the Coffee Shop in March 2022, it has gone from strength to strength with an ever-growing clientele and an increasing number of volunteer helpers. The Coffee Shop is operated entirely by volunteers and in 2023 it won the Somerset County Gazette Café of the Year.
The Coffee Shop is a well-known community hub where you can find company and friendly faces in the beautiful setting of the Grade I listed historic 1508 Minster church.
Open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am until almost 2.00pm, offering premium coffees and teas, homemade cakes and light lunches, all at reasonable prices.
